The LSIA Level 3 Race Performance Module is an advanced training block within the LSIA Level 3 instructor qualification pathway.This module focuses on high-performance skiing and race-oriented technical development. Participants will work on improving their technical skiing ability, understanding of racing mechanics, and performance at higher speeds.

LSIA is a full member of ISIA (International Ski Instructors Association). The LSIA Level 3 qualification corresponds to the ISIA Stamp level.

Duration: 4 days (32 hours). Minimum 5 hours per day on snow + indoor theory sessions

WHAT YOU WILL DEVELOP
High performance skiing skills
• Advanced edge control and pressure management
• Dynamic turn shaping and speed management
• Efficient and powerful skiing movements
• High-level technical demonstrations

Race-oriented technical skills
• Fundamentals of alpine race technique
• Line selection and tactical skiing
• Understanding ski–snow interaction at higher speeds
• Performance skiing in race environments (when conditions allow)

Technical analysis and coaching
• Movement analysis of high-level skiing
• Performance feedback and technical corrections
• Development of clear technical demonstrations
• Understanding high-performance skiing mechanics

COURSE STRUCTURE
Training takes place primarily on snow and focuses on intensive technical development and skiing performance.

Daily sessions may include:
• Technical Race course skiing training
• Performance feedback and coaching
• Video analysis and discussion
• Individual technical development tasks

ASSESSMENT
This module is part of the Level 3 development pathway. Participants receive professional feedback regarding their skiing performance and progress toward Level 3 standards.

WHO THIS MODULE IS FOR
Participants should:
• Working toward Level 3 and already attended first part of Race Performance module last fall (2025) in Solden.
• This module is designed for experienced instructors aiming to reach the highest technical skiing standards within the LSIA system and preparing for Level 3 / ISIA Stamp level.
