LSIA Level 2 Ski Instructor Course​

The LSIA Level 2 Ski Instructor Course is the next step in the LSIA instructor qualification pathway and builds on the knowledge and experience gained during the Level 1 course. This course is designed for instructors who want to further develop their technical skiing ability, teaching skills, and professional understanding of ski instruction within the international snowsports industry.

LSIA (Lithuanian Ski Instructors Association) is a full member of ISIA – the International Ski Instructors Association. This means that LSIA qualifications are part of the international instructor education system used by ski instructor organizations around the world.

Level 2 represents an important stage in the professional development of ski instructors, combining strong technical skiing performance with advanced teaching and coaching skills within the international ski instructor pathway.

COURSE OVERVIEW
Duration: 5 days + 2 days assessment (56 hours)

The learning process combines intensive on-snow technical training with theoretical sessions. Participants receive advanced coaching on their skiing performance while developing deeper understanding of teaching methodology and student progression.

• Communication and guest service at a professional level
• Movement observation and technical analysis

Professional knowledge
Participants strengthen their professional understanding of ski instruction and ski school operations.
• Safety management and risk awareness
• Terrain selection and group management for higher-level students
• Coaching strategies and feedback techniques
• Professional standards within the snowsports industry

ASSESSMENT
Assessment takes place throughout the course and focuses on three main areas:
• Technical skiing performance
• Teaching and coaching skills
• Technical understanding and movement analysis

Successful candidates receive the LSIA Level 2 Ski Instructor certification.

PROFESSIONAL STATUS
LSIA Level 2 instructors are qualified to teach beginner, intermediate, and advanced recreational skiers within organized ski schools.

The Level 2 qualification represents a significant step in the LSIA instructor education pathway and corresponds to the ISIA Blue level.

Qualification pathway:
Level 1 → Level 2 → Level 3
LSIA Level 2 corresponds to the ISIA Blue level.
LSIA Level 3 corresponds to the ISIA Stamp level.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
• LSIA Level 1 Ski Instructor certification
• Strong technical skiing ability
• Ability to ski confidently in varied terrain and snow conditions
• Experience teaching beginner and lower-intermediate skiers is recommended

The Level 2 course is suitable for:
• Certified Level 1 instructors who want to advance their qualification
• Instructors working in ski schools who want to improve their technical skiing and teaching skills
• Ski instructors preparing for higher level professional certifications
• Instructors planning to continue toward Level 3 qualification

WHAT COMES AFTER LEVEL 2
After completing Level 2, instructors can continue their development in the LSIA education system by participating in Level 3 modules and further training required for the highest instructor certification.
