Participants will be introduced to and gain the basic knowledge of LSIA Technical and Teaching Concepts as well as thorough understanding of the role of snowboard teaching within the snowsports industry. They will receive coaching on their snowboarding\, and they will also receive suggestions and strategies for their long-term development. \nLSIA Level 1 snowboard instructor qualification is the lowest level that can be obtained in LSIA. Level 1 is a pre – requisite for the Level 2. \n● It is a 5 day (40 hrs) course\n● Learning process is based on a balance between practical (minimum 5 hrs on-snow) and theoretical (3 hrs indoor) elements. \nEntry requirements:\n● Be 17 years of age at the commencement of the course\n● Candidates are required to ride confidently on all blue and red terrain in skidded snowboard turns.\n● No previous teaching experience is required. \nContent:\n● The LSIA Level 1 is an introductory course aimed at any competent snowboarder seeking to enter the snowsports industry and to work as an instructor. The Level 1 qualification is the entry point to the LSIA training pathway. The Level 1 certified instructor will be provided with the basic skills needed to get started instructing in most snowsport schools.\n● Participants will be introduced to and gain the very basics of LSIA technical and teaching principles and concepts as well as the role of snowboard teaching within the snowsports industry.
